No, but it looks like the lacquer has started to come off mine in some random places as well. It's on the silver surround, rather than the 'honeycomb' shaped bits.

Yes surround but a bit more than the lacquer, need to build up with correct colour.

I've ask the same question before now and was told there isn't a paint code for the grill but I think the colour is Atlas silver which I found from the Range Rover Sports forum. Not actually checked it myself. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Common fault this happened to mine and a lot of Freelander 2s it seems, I have a dynamic model so the honeycomb piece was black , and the outer edge silver had all tanished, I got a local garage to do the whole grille gloss black , looks much better , this cost a £100

Don't think a full black will look that good on an Orkney grey car though ?. I'll leave mine to see if it gets any worse and then maybe get it sprayed

have a look at pictures of Orkney Grey Dynamic models and IMO they would look great with a full black grill. I put black lettering and black side vents on mine and lots of people commented how good the contrast.

have it sprayed all gloss black and if you don't like it then I think someone on here used some simple stick on chrome effect piping on the surrounding edges.

Just had a quick look at some pics and most of them have still got the silver surround, which is where mine is going. I'll see how it goes, but I don't know any local spray shops. I assume they can do the grill in situ without removing bumpers etc

the same surround strip laquer went on my grill too, so its definitely a common manufacturer fault.

some people have sprayed the grill themselves (or got body shop to do it) and left it in place so its possible to do it without stripping the bumper off.

My grill as gone in the surround along the bottom part, even the black grills have this part exposed. It's going to be more of touch up job. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Any decent body shop should be able to sort it, I got mine full resprayed the whole of the grille and they did a great job, unsure if they took the bumper of or not , but charged a £100 and am more than happy with it, so if you can afford it I would go for that option , everytime I looked at her it just grated on me looking at the state of the grille .

Hope you get it sorted

That's where mines started to get blemishes - the bottom part. I would try to touch it up but every time I touch paint on a car it gets worse ! Will wait till it gets worse I think though. Then I night try giving it a spray of Atlas silver .... or take it to a sprayer !

I have tried to, "touch up". but made it look worse.
Need to bight the bullet rub down, mask up and respray the complete bar.
Going to, Halfords where I hope to be able to get Atlas Silver and clear coat.
Looked to see if easy to remove grill, soon gave up on that idea.

There's a bit of a blemish on one of the grey honeycomb bits as well now! Let's wait for it all to fall off in winter 🙁
