Battery Failure

My Freelander is coming up to 11 years old and I have loved it for all that time. However i now have a problem with starting. My battery is 2 years into a five year guarantee and I am told there is nothing wrong with it. Some days the battery is completely dead and will not even release the fob. The car does not get much use since I retired. What could be causing this failure. When jump leads from another engine are utilised it starts immediately. Is something shorting out the battery? Any experiences of this problem? I do hope someone might be able to help an old lady!

Could be several reasons that the battery is draining. Door locks not working correctly being one. Get your fault codes read by an independent garage who repairs LR products and take if from there. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

There's double locking and Bluetooth problems associated with this problem.
