4WD System Maintenance question

Hi all

I'm new to LR ownership, bought my FL2 (2010) last year with 17,000 miles on the clock. There wasn't much of a service history with it (it was an elderly couple who didn't see the point as they hardly used it!) but I was happy to buy it as it was like new despite being seven years old. I got the car serviced before I used it and, nearly one year on, all is well.

I have no idea about the 4WD system though - at what point should I change the oil in the Haldex, diff and transfer box?
The car is used on roads only.
Thanks in anticipation! Very Happy

The service schedule says 10 years or 150k but says the haldex in non serviceable. Don't believe it. You should change the haldex oil and filter at 75k probably (or 10 years?). Plenty of information on here about that if you do a search.

Bit by bit to not get a massive bill I would change all the fluids and all the filters in the next 12 months. Then sit back and enjoy for the next 5 years. before its 10 years old it will need a cam belt kit, ancillary belt and water pump. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated!

During the service, I had all the fluids and filters changed. I've been in the habit with my previous cars of getting the engine treated with Forte diesel engine flush and then fortifier prior to filling with new oil. I do think it makes the engine smoother. I've done the same with the FL2.
I've had the coolant and PAS fluid replaced too so all that's left is the running gear, which you've answered. Very Happy

The lack of services has done the car no harm, it drives like it should and still feels great despite it coming up eight years old now. I think it's got just over 31,000 miles now but it'll be getting a full service late August.
