MAIN DEALER A JOKE

Is it me or are main dealers just out to rip people off as i made enquires at guy salmon
Of Maidstone today about a simple plug in diagnostic on my FL2 and they said it would
Cost £135 plus vat so either they said that to scare me off or they thought i would be
A mug and say ok.

IIRC LR stealers charge by the hour in the majority of cases. so £162 p/h labour charge to plug in the diagnostics for a 10-15 minute check.

most decent independants have a good quality diagnostics tool and can read pretty much everything a LR dealer can for only £50

I can't see why, given the amount of computing power built in to the FL2, that an onboard readout of codes and importantly relevant information should not be a standard fitment.


But on the other hand, the on going maintenance must be worth a bob or two if you can keep it inhouse. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

Hi Captin, I'm in SE18 area and took mine to RCV an Indy in East Peckham that aren't going to be a million miles from you. Try calling them 01622 873000 - Aaron's the guy in reception.
Have tried to find, without any success so far, an Indy that might be a bit nearer - had no issue with RCV, would just be nice to have a garage a little nearer home
