10 year service reccooendations for i6

Hi All,

Happy weekend to you!

I have a 2007 i6 lpg conversion which I adore and it now requires a 10 year service albeit a year late.

Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable independent garages who can do this service?

I'm based in the South East but can travel.

Also, any recommendations for a replacement GPS bluetooth unit gratefully received!

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Milo.

Hi Milo,

I took my i6 to AJS near Kingswood for its 10 year service last year and happy to recommend them although it was the first i6 they'd done. Only job they couldn't do was the automatic transmission service so I ended up taking it to an auto gearbox specialist near me in Sydenham. If you want their details let me know and I'll dig out the paperwork.

Phil

I’ve only been an owner since October and tried to find a local Indy. I’m in SE18 and used RCV IN East Peckham, albeit they’re 30 miles away; Aaron on reception very helpful and no problem with the work would just like a garage a bit nearer although I suppose to some 30 miles is local. They can let you have a courtesy car, an Astra, if yours is going to be in for a while.
There is also an Indy in Charlton SE, although when I called for a quote he kept insisting that LR records suggested my car was fitted with all sorts of body kits which it isn’t; I never followed it up.
Be interested to know if you find anyone local.

Hi Phil,

Many thanks indeed for that. Is it OK to ask how much bot charged you? I too have an automatic gearbox and would seek to have this serviced also.

Many thanks in advance,

Milo.

Hi Sid,

Thanks very much for that, I'll noise RCV up tomorrow for a quote. DO you happen to remember the dealer in Charlton by any chance just for comparison?

Many thanks,

Milo.

Would be interested to hear how you get on if you take your motor in. As I say I called to ask for a price to fit mudflaps and the guy I spoke to said it wouldn't be possible due to all the body kits I'd got fitted Question

Hi Sid,

I booked it in today at LRR for a couple of weeks time so will let you know how I get on.

Ta loads to you both for the steer, very helpful indeed, I'm a complete novice - my first car!

Best,

Milo.

Mine needs doing, what sort of price are we looking at? Common sense isn't very common.
