United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

As with many electrical faults they can be intermittent so yes and no I guess regarding the EGR. Its a real bummer as I found out and code reading is only part of the story.

2013 EGR batch fault is known and they force limp mode other than that apart from split turbo pipes I would not have much more to add now. Sad FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

The actuator fault was there all the time but perhaps a sticky actuator arm or sticky variable turbo vanes could be more of an intermittent fault as could a collapsing intercooler hose. Its very frustrating when a fault is so intermittent that it makes it very difficult to pinpoint exactly where the problem lies. Big Cry

Well I have bit the bullet and getting the turbo changed!

lets wait and see if it fixes the faults.

After a new turbo and a few months of trouble free driving I think it is safe to say that the problem was a sticking actuator.
Expensive but happy driving so far.
