Gearbox to ptu spline STRIPPED

HI,
I'm Alessandro from Italy, looking for the reason of losing rear wheel drive, I found the spline and the sleeve from the manual gearbox to the ptu stripped, weared and very rusted.
My car have 200.000 km is the 2.2 diesel, so I don't know what to do, I found some breakers that have the gearbox used but I'm afraid about the same problem because I read a lot about and seem that freelanders from 2007 to 2011 suffers that problem.
I want to understand if after 2011 something changes and land rover found a solution.
I'm also thinking about install the earlier evoque gearbox that is easier to find and maybe have some upgrade that avoid this problem.
Anyone know if is compatible evoque gearbox with my engine?
Anyone know if land rover sell the internal parts of the gearbox if I want to try to replace only the spline stripped?

The sleeve is available as a separate part. You will probably need a service exchange transfer box ( ptu?) from Bell Engineering.
Sleeve and seal is less than £200, gearbox from Bell was around £600 a couple of years ago Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

LR replaced the PTU under warranty on my Evoque when it failed and was running in 2WD only. Symptoms were a loud clunking from the rear left hand side wheel arch.

when they removed the PTU they found the splines to the gearbox had been stripped as well, so also replaced the gearbox (manual)

thankfully all under warranty to a cost of about £5500 Shocked

however the clutch then felt strange to me, and 1st/2nd gear were very notchy to engage which LR agreed with and suggested a new clutch was fitted at a cost of £1600 which wasn't covered under the warranty.

I then had to kick off at the supplying dealer and demand a replacement vehicle...
