central locking not working on drivers side

hi when you lock the doors it sound like they all lock as they shod
but if you pull the drivers side door handle it opens and the alarm goes of
if you sit in side and lock it the tab goes in to say its locked and sounds like it has done the job
but it has not
thanks

Sounds like the door latch has gone - seems to be a common problem on these cars

There is a youtube vid showing someone changing theirs Thumbs Up

If you press the button near the handle shut the door and press the remote button the door should lock.

The first press of the fob locks the car second dead locks it. Sometime the dead lock will work when one press doesn't. Mine on its why out and three presses seems to do the trick at the moment. I got a replacement from ebay for £45.....just need to get round to fitting it.
