Engine shudder when ticking over.

My freelander seams to have developed a slight miss fire shudder when at tick over. If i lightly press the throttle it stops. Could my landrover dealer have possibly adjusted the tickover during the service?

What sort of revs are you ticking over? I think it should be somewhere around 800 rpm. Cheers,

I cant tell you what the rpm is untill i plug it the diagnostic mechine tomorrow as the rev needle on the rpm counter is at the rest position untill the throttle is applied.
The miss fire is a sort of diesel knock miss fire.

Checked my engines rpm arround 800 rpm when cold when engine temperature reaches normal operating temperature the miss fire starts.
If a little throttle is applied and released the engine judders rpm goes to arround 780 and back to 800 rpm approx.
I have just cleaned the maff wiring plug with contact cleaner and found the rpm has stopped flutuating so hopefully sorted. Whistle
