HSE Radio - Any options

Hi All

I am sure it has been discussed at length.

I have a 2010 HSE. Is there absolutely anything that can be done to upgrade/replace/mod the radio/nav system?

I would love to have my ipod integrated into the radio and/or have the Bluetooth audio

Would highly recommend you put aside a little time and do a search.
You will find a few options like LR’s audio connectivity module for an
iPod Thumbs Up
Once you have read all the options I’m sure other forum members will discuss any questions you have. MY15

Hi Stuart

I have done a lot of research but most of the results are for SE models without the sat nav. The very few topics that I have found say that if you disconnect the nav, your whole system stops working. Is this verified? or just speculation? Are there any serious concerns if I unplug it to test, will my system just start working again if I plug it back in?

I have seen the ipod connector from LR however I am in SA and will cost an arm and a leg to buy is here. I was wondering if there are any other products that could possibly work.

I was hoping to find someone on here who has done something with their HSE radio.

TIA

If you disconnect the sat nav you should close the MOST optical loop again, if you leave the loop broken the whole audio system will stop working. Land rover has a part called "bypass shunt for fiber optics" (part number LR019014) to do this. Other people reported the audio system still works with the shunt after removing the sat nav.

If you want a cheap solution why not try something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kinivo-BTC455-Blu...B00JK0G8KC. I have one and it works very well, it's plug and play. I stream music from my phone to it via Bluetooth.

As said, you can unplug the MOST ring but nothing will work in the infotainment as you have to close the loop.
I don’t have the Alpine System but I know there’s a few aftermarket options that plug into the MOST ring and allows
you to have a USB input. Do a search for “MOST ring USB module”. MY15
