Muddy Weekender 2023

Hello everyone :waves: Very Happy

At the end of last month, MuddyMods held their annual Muddy Weekender once again at Billing (the same site that the offroad show is held). Alana and I had an absolute blast both on the off road course and back at the campsite! Chell and Warren from MuddyMods was nice enough to let me roam around the site to capture some pictures and video from the weekend. Smile

First off, if you want to see a highlights video from the weekend then this maybe for you:

I had so much content from the mud run I made a dedicated video for it:

All the random footage and high jinx made it's way to this video:

There is tons of Youtube shorts on our channel and other videos. For those, check out the Muddy Weekender Playlist:

Just a quickie that shows just how capable Freelanders really are. Here is a YouTube short of Michael's Freelander 2 doing the mud run. What makes it unique is that he had an electrical issue with his haldex which meant his car was operating in just front wheel drive. When you couple that with a very hefty dog cage, 5 working dogs in the back, a heavy duty winch and all the paraphernalia on the car, I think this is very impressive. Very Happy

Said it before and I will say it again. The Freelander is one of the most under-rated vehicles in the (what was) LR stable. A superb all-rounder. Thumbs Up

Me and Alana wholeheartedly agree. Thumbs Up It does make you wonder, with a few tweaks to the Freelander 2 and a better, more inclusive service schedule, just how good it could've become if there was a Freelander 3. Smile
