Motoreasy policy.

Just had a quote from this company.
Just over 600 quid for 12 mths. I'm not a fan of buying warranties tbh, but, was wondering if anyone thinks this is worth doing.

I've got an 07 hse i6 with 105k on the clock.

Any advice on other companies would be much appreciated.

Thanks Thumbs Up

Look very carefully at what is included/excluded. At that age and mileage of vehicle, I would expect almost every breakable component to be excluded... Sad Currently enjoying:

Join disco3.co.uk and search motoreasy, there’s a thread on it there. I wouldn’t buy.

Likewise, at over 10 years and 100,000 miles old I’m not aware of a single worthwhile policy and I’d save your money Thumbs Up 2011 FL2 TD4 XS Man. Kosrae Green (only on its second owner and now well past 160,000 miles & still on its first clutch!)

In my experience after market warranty companies are only after your money and quite often refuse to pay out.

A friend of mine previously had a D3 (had a D4 after than and now XC90), he used a major after market warranty company who refused to pay out for both EGR, only 1 (even though the garage recommended that the 2nd was on its way out and would be cheaper to change together) and likewise when his front suspension failed on one side they refused to pay out for the other side even though safety dictated to do both at the same time and again would have been cheaper on labour charges.

LR approved and extended warranties would probably be the best available but IIRC even the extended warranty doesn't cover a lot of components.

save your money, put it aside each month and use that instead. 2001 FL1 TD4 GS Auto 3 Door Tonga Green

My son had a Porsche 911 with a Warranty Direct and it was so much hassle to get anything out of them that he wouldn't bother again. My family has had experience now with VW, Porsche and LandRover extended warranties which have all been OK. In other situations you are on your own and best budgeting for the inevitable. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto no real problems

Thanks for the replies. You've all confirmed my suspicions.
