2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Stornoway Grey

Autobox Gear Selection display?

Hi all, not sure if this is the right section but here goes......
I believe it is possible to get a display on dash info cente that shows which gear the autobox is in whilst driving. This is (I think) a mod to the Vehicles firmware that needs to be done by a Landrover agent?
Can anyone confirm this - or, indeed, can it be done by yourself? Look forward to replies folks.
