Sorry Bob. Not really a question. I put this in the “Spotted” section as it is certainly a unique number (OK, all numbers are unique). One ponders who would suit such a number - possibly a software programmer, mathematician, computer system analyst, or whatever. Hence my caption. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I recognise this number as decimal 272.
(That's using all the numbers up to F)

One thing I can't work out is what speed does the car need to go to stay on that vertical roadway. Is it the 'Wall of Death' FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

Yeah, but shouldn't it be
eBay Item No. 001110100010110100101001

http://www.online-toolz.com/tools/text-binary-convertor.php

Sorry Nick, I read it as hexadecimal.

After years of reading raw data, which most machines produce in hex, it came naturally to me, especially as it was four digits long.
It's a lot more compact than having to read binary.

As I am ex-ICL (International Computers Ltd - now taken over by Fujitsu) I had a period of my life when I had to think in octal, that was before IBM took over the world, and we all became hexidecimal.

edit please don't ask me where "ebay item No" has appeared from, it is not on my copies of posting???? FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)
