change of alloy or not ?

pure speculation at the moment Idea Idea

I am considering a change of wheels on a tight budget Rolling with laughter

In my search quest can I ask, do any of these wheels have any specific name?

I currently have number 3 on my HSE never really been mad on that style but really fancy the 19" number 1 as seen on most HST models.

Through my investigations alloys 1&2 are generally more expensive than the type I have.

I can pick a set of 4 of the ones I want a bit beat up (item 1) for £350, but have been quoted £300 for a refurb so already at £650, tyres of 4-6mm tread depth are included, all pirelli.

I am still kicking myself after failing to go for for the Duckworth's deal about 2 months back ie 4 x the metropolis wheel (photo 2) with brand new tyres for £500 Bow down Bow down (18" I believe)

If I actually went for the HST (image 1) alloys , I would have 4 mint HSE alloys with Riken tyres and 8mm tread on all spare.

out of interest what would be a sensible price to sell them at ? £500 or much less ? Thumbs Up

I've got the diamond cut which is #2 on your list and are hard to refurb if you kerb them. £300 seems a bit steep. I had one refurbed for £40 and it was like brand new when finished. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I actually quite like your existing wheels, the picture 2 are lovely but would be so hard to keep looking mint, 1 scrape in the lacquer and they start corroding, regular washing and rim wax would be essential. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

If you are keen (and can travel to pick them up) work out what you can afford, and stick in a bid (up to max bid format)

From what I read your budget is £650? Why not enter that as max bid.

19 inch wheel sets are quite pricey if bought from a dealer, and these will sell I am sure.

My experience on buying a spare for my last car was that people use robotic bidding in the last few moments and so you have to take a chance at guessing a realistic max bid, and hope. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Best to 'snipe bid' ....... rather than put any bid up front.

Always snipe bid with 'strange numbers' that places your max bid just under the increment next bid.

....... sometimes a bidder will put a stupid 'buy at any cost' snipe bid in ..... and you could lose. Only the seller wins in this instance.
