Mega miles FL2 update, many jobs done!

Well, we're on 267k now and going very well. Much better actually with some running. Tried an EGR blank but it didn't run well so cleaned it up.

I've changed all gearbox/ diff/ transfer box oils- gearbox oil made a massive difference and the 'box is very positive and smooth, even when cold.

Did the haldex filters and changed the oil- surprisingly straight forward and cheap bits from Volvo. I was surprised how clean the old oil was. Even the filter on the pump was ok-ish. Think this may have had some attention in the past which would add up to why its still running.

Just got to sort the rear wiper motor as, you guessed it, its not working. Hoping a strip and clean will sort otherwise its a mk6 fiesta transplant.

Fitted some front spats today and put some new Goodyears on- it looks and drives great Very Happy My daily is a new M140 BMW and I prefer this!

Despite it being the Mrs' 'loser cruiser' for dogs and kids, I'm quite proud of this car and have gained confidence in it now I know it better. Now thinking of buying a 110 td5!

Will keep you posted. If you see an advert for a breaker though, it may be me Rolling with laughter

Jonny

Just on with fabricating an exoskeleton to complete the look. A must for Aldi car park. Fitting a Bazooka on Saturday Mr. Green

'All added items have a purpose and are used regularly'

Does that include the huge Land Rover sticker on your O/S rear quarter?

to be fair the wind deflectors on the windows do serve a purpose, particularly if you don't have sunroof. The buffeting with 1 window open is horrendous and they genuinely do stop it happening. Thumbs Up

the front bumper spats actually don't seem to make a difference at all.... you still get massive splash up from deeper puddles

seriously impressed with the mileage though.... wonder how many can beat that ! Question Laughing

The wind deflectors are worth buying, and easy to fit. Just go onto Amazon or Ebay and put 'Heki' into the search box. Cheap enough.

I had light guards on my last F2 but took them off as they held muck against the lights, and if it snows they soon block the lights. (front obviously, I dont reverse if I can help it Rolling with laughter ) Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018
