Drivers door mirror assembly removal

Hi all,
Just had the drivers side mirror modified by some Censored in a van, damage inside body and a big bit of plastic missing from top and bottom of the body,I taped in an old caravan mirror glass to get by.
Do you have to remove the door card to remove the mirror body or just prise out the speaker pod and trim around the door to get to the 3 bolts and the screw that hold it on ?
Cheers

England 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Loire Blue

Same happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Van did not stop either. Fortunately the top bit was in one piece in the road, the glass was smashed to bits but the mech and bottom bit survived. Bought a replacement heated glass and all is back together again. The colour coded top bit seems to have taken the brunt of the hit as it had a colour change where it had flexed. Gave it a polish up and now it is barely noticeable. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMi1tYLxbdM, here they did remove the door card. Looks like the door card also has to be removed to connect the wires.

They also did a how-to video on removing the door card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MidwEBcELbU

Yep, did mine in the summer. Door card has to come off - all fairly straightforward.
