Coachman 575 VIP Not Level

Hi Is there anyone out there with a FL2and a Coachman VIP.

I have a Witter flange type detachable and previously towed a Swift which towed with the caravan level, but picking up the Coachman it tows nose down I know it's not a problem but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

The FL2 has only done 22k so the suspension is fine. When I picked the van up to day it was empty so it may change with something in it.

Good point well made yes the Coachman runs on 15`s and the Swift 14`s Richard

You've probably checked this but it could be the nose weight of the caravan, it that different to the Swift? 2013 GS Baltic Blue - part exchanged now for Volvo V40

Hi the nose weight is the same but its a new van with nothing in so nice crisp suspension, however had the weight plate upgrade to 1700 kg which gives a massive payload of 240kg.

I don't think Coachman or any manufacturer do anything ie upgrade suspension just increase tyre pressure.

I`ll see what it's like when I load it up with our stuff

Not even tyre pressure increase, we "upgraded" our Lunar Lexon to a higher payload, Lunar just issued me with a new sticker for the side of the van - for a fee of course. The van is actually capable of the higher weight in standard trim, they just de-rate it on the plate to make the van appear suitable for a greater range of tow cars. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

As a cars towbar height range (EC Directive) is 350-420mm and a caravans hitch height (EC Directive) between 385-455mm, there is bound to be a difference between caravans. Also some caravans are inherently nose heavy from manufacture, but if that is not the case then its just tolerances.
Mine is nose down and preferable to nose up.
