Poor heater blower

Hi guys... cold weather problems! Car seems to take AGES to dentist the front screen. Fan sounds like it's doing a tidy speed but the airflow seems weak. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. 2.2 2008

Footwell is dry, not checked the pollen filter... no idea what the fuse PTC thing means

FYI: just checked the pollen filter.. . Absolutely black and full of bugs. Removed the the blower is now working perfectly. Thanks for your advise guys... top work as always

Ptc is an electric heater for intial warming of the vent air. Disconnected in 2009 by dealers afrer a recall, but should all be updated and reconnected at a later date At work

If I set mine to demist and the fans are on auto it doesn't automatically turn the fans right up, I have to do it manually which I find strange

I have found my fans only go full pelt when I press demist if both temp dials are at blue. If they are on hot I have to manually turn up the blower speed. Learned to drive in 2011.

Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....

Just leave mine in auto with the A/C off always works within a couple of minutes my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.
