Romp,
Is the departure angle on the i6 different to the td4 then?

If it's like the orange one in the pics, then yes. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Approach and departure angles are identical for both diesel and petrol models.
If you have bumper skirts (dynamic kit) then approach and departure angles are deminished due to the "skirts" not the exhaust finishers.
If you fit the exhaust finishers, as I've done, without the skirts then all you do is trim a little notch out of the SS exterior rear part of each finisher so that it clears the bend in the pipes and allows the finisher to mounted far further back and maintaining the departure clearance.
I've not had any issues off-roading as yet and I think I had a wheel or two in the air..... MY15

The pics of the orange one are distorted making it look stretched. I'm not defending it as I think it looks crap but to be fair the pipes don't hang lower than his towbar. But if you were offroading you probably wouldn't add styling kits (which these pipes are meant for use with)... or even side steps etc.

edit: Doh - Stuart beat me to it.

OK, just to clear my point up - anything that protrudes through that orange line on the pic will affect the departure angle [whether the FL2 is used to that extent or not] ... e.g. tail pipes, additional bodywork, tow bar, mud flaps, etc.
And to me, that i6 orange one seems to have the lot Laughing [which was the one I was commenting on Wink ]

Anyway, sorry for distracting this thread on an off-roading technicality .... off you go back to discussing bling. Thumbs Up

Hi Norfie,
Can you confirm you didn't need the extra "bridging" pipe, as according to his advert it's just a normal! exhaust clamp to connect.

Cheers Dave

The one he fitted to mine required the 'bridging' pipe.

it's a consideration if I need to change the box, caught mine back in August during an off road assessment and knocked it out of alignment, anyway appears to be OK for now.

Got an i6 with HST kit and twin exhausts BUT the bumper below is what I'd really like.

Don’t think a towbar would work with that bumper. Looks too much like a cayenne lower section. I prefer the stock styling pack that JLR offered. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
