Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

Recently forced to move from 2G to 3G as they turned off the 2G network without any warning. Working phone one day & what appeared at first, a dead phone the next day until I worked out a few days later that they turned off 2G. The phone still works keypad & all, & battery is still ok! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I'm giving that new iPhone X a miss. Nice but too expensive. I'll get the 8 Plus on free upgrade which I can order from Friday. No tariff change, I just hand in my old one at an O2 shop and get the new one. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

2G hasn't got much shelf life left here, they are having to use that Frequency range for digital TV and emergency services

haha pretty much all areas have 2G.... your phone will work on 4G for data etc but switch to 3G to make calls (as 4G calls don't exist as such)

identified (on Samsung) as E = 2G (voice and SMS only) H/H+ = 3G /3.5G (voice, SMS and lower speed data) 4G/4G+ = 4G/4.5G (high speed all services)

If 3G isn't available then your phone will auto switch to 2G and if that isn't available your clearly north of the border Rolling with laughter

2G. So, my minty, mint, mint original iPhone 1st generation will always work or is it going to go the way of pre-GSM phones?

The last phone work supplied before I retired was a 5c. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife. The white moulded plastic case back made it super slim and light . I'm now using a 7plus 128gb - will keep it for another 15 month as I got it on Apple's interest free deal . At the end of that time if I decide to upgrade it will return £400 on the 'bay . I'm not an early adopter I prefer to jump on after the bandwagon starts to roll. Even though it's water resistant I've got the 7 in a Lifeproof Nuud mil-spec drop proof and IP68 case : trouble with that installed the phone is big enough to use as a tray to eat your tea on your knee while watching telly Rolling with laughter

I've still got a waterproof Sony M5 on PAYG , it's my fly-fishing phone , it won't cry half as much if it ends up trundling down the Strid at Bolton Abbey Laughing 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I have an iPhone 5c acquired from my partner, which is perfectly adequate for my needs.I just cannot justify the cost of these latest iPhones. To be honest,I'm not that into the latest technology.

How much is Samsungs Note 8 in comparison?

£869 - I've just replaced my iPhone 6+ with one.

And the face recognition works well Steve

Well I’ve done the deal on a space grey iPhone X 64GB! I got an upgrade with O2 who I have been with for several years. I have managed to get the monthly payments to £8 more per month than what I am paying now but I’ve recently negotiated a £20 discount per month on my broadband and TV services which offsets that and more. I have just had to part with £130 up front which I can live with. Delivery is up to 4 weeks apparently but I suspect more like 5-6 weeks with the demand. I just need to find a nice case for it now.

I can imagine what my dad would have had to say Laughing He managed to use his £10 phone credit in 2 days at the hospice when he somehow managed to accidentally connect to a 'chat group' on his pretty basic smartphone! The times he cursed at it!

Yep Thumbs Up Laughing

I fully caved in. I had an iPhone 8 in the virtual shopping basket when I was eligible for an upgrade but read an article that said if you’ve got a 7 already, there really isn’t any difference. So I hung on to see what offers were available and it’s turned out ok. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
