United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
Faceligt headlight guards

Hi All,

i have a 2012 GS (facelifted version) that i want to install some head light protectors to. the old variety VPLFP0076 is not available any more and has been replaced with LR002408. what i cant tell from any of the photographs or adverts is whether the kit contains the two metal brackets that allow the light guards to be fitted tot he face lift version?

can anyone shed any light on it?

They should come with brackets.
But best bet is to raise a post with Dan at Duckworths.

I wasn't aware they made guards for the facelift headlights Shocked

aren't the light positions different between the pre MY13 and post MY13 so the mouldings will be different ?

ah right... the front ones appear to largely match up with the DRL and dipped lights but the rears don't which may not be too much of an issue

I'm not a big fan of headlight guards. The front ones hold in the muck, and when it snows, it gets compacted into the guard and you spend your time pulling over to clear it out. But that just me. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

But if you look closely, they could match up. Confused
The downward curve on the light guard matches the partly concealed upper lens and forms the (imaginary) circle.
To me, it's the squiggly chrome bit near the bottom that looks more of an oddity.
Or have I had one smoke too many. Laughing

Got to say, I prefer my modded (monochrome) rear lights to these newer coloured ones. Neutral FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-
