Wagon Wheels

Its time discuss a serious topic. I was recently in the supermarket and picked up a pack of Wagon Wheel biscuits and couldn't believe how small they were. I know it's a long time ago but when I was a kid but they used to cost a whole sixpence and came in a single bag and you needed two hands to hold one. I used to get sixpence to get a Waggon Wheel and a cup of oxtail soup after I'd been swimming . This was at Joseph Street Baths in Hunslet , circa 1965. I can catagoricaly state that Waggon Wheels were massive I reckon at least 5"/ 125 mm in diameter. They have definitely been reduced Big Cry 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Like you Dorsetfreelander I remember that wagon wheels were packed singly and quite thick. Used to go into a cafe on the way to Primary school as a treat. This was back in the late 50's when kids could go to school without being chaperoned by their parents and shock horror had to travel on the tube. If you thinks that's bad, have you bought a curly wurly recently? It's microscopic! I just hope they leave Tunnocks Caramel wafers alone.
