My GS has been displaying a message saying" system will shut down in 3 minutes, press OK" and a red battery symbol is displayed alongside the message. I've had the battery checked and it's fine. Puzzled ??? MY 2013 SD GS Auto

If you go in the search section you will find numerous posts on this including from me, it seems everyone gets it but learn to ignore it  If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

This time of year its worth topping up a older battery with a trickle charger as yes they can be tested to be fine but the power demands of these cars are massive and cold weather takes it toll. Mine was tested as a good battery a while ago but was only on the edge in the power terms I needed. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Funny you should say that Bob as I had battery tested as full last Friday been freezing all weekend especially today -2 and Florrie struggled to start 2nd time ok first time but only moved 10m.
Ctek here tomorrow hopefully so will keep the trickle on although battery 4 year old now. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

The car had been parked in the drive overnight as usual. I had it tested at my local indie yesterday, and he said the battery was ok but not great. Nearly 5 years old so not bad really. He thought that you needed a JLR brand battery to replace it,? Is that correct? the only thing that seems common after fitting a new one is the window reset, anything else? MY 2013 SD GS Auto

Does not have to be JLR but a quality stop start with good amperage. Tayna or similar supplier possibly or just get a trickle charger but at 4.5 years I changed mine (still in garage in case I trade out to a dealer this year)
