For my previous car when the first set needed replacing. I keep these and got them re-shoed with metal pads. The metal pads didn't seem to wear the discs any quicker & there was a lot less dust. They also braked the car a bit better, not necessarily quicker but felt better. The pads also seem to last a long time as well. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Any input would be very gratefully received. Really ? Rolling Eyes

as price and quality go without saying. In that case convert your vehicle to Carbon Fibre. Whistle

will 4 dead budgies wedged in my front calipers stop my freelander. Yes as they could be incorporated in Organic pads. Laughing

While we are on the mute point of budgies and organic brake pads they would also return the lowest dust compared to some pads ! Yawn

Low to medium-high coefficient of friction ~ 0.33 –0.40.
Excellent wear at lower temps. < 200C.
Good for wheel dust.
Relatively poor wear under heavy duty conditions and at higher friction levels.
Good noise & roughness characteristics
Can have morning effectiveness noise – squealing noise on first couple of brake applies in the morning
More expensive.

Go Budgie and go low dust. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

You can buy genuine new ones on ebay, posted for £37.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-FREELAND...1438.l2649

That's nearly £20 cheaper than Duckworths current offer, and £3 cheaper than the bashed up ones in the for sale section that are a "steal" at £40 if you collect Wink
