Parking Sensors

Hi to you all.

My first post on this forum. Perhaps an answer to my question already exsists but I simply overlooked it. Sorry for that.

I have a very Basic Freelander 2 from 2008. I´d like to install parking sensors but I don´t know where to make the electrical connection.
I am afraid to upset the Can bus system.

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.

HM

If you only want reversing sensors buy a cheap set off ebay and power them from the reversing lights. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Hi to you all,

Yes, the parking sensors are installed and performing as they should. It turned out to be a straightforward job. A bit fiddly at times but ok.

Thanks for the good advice and help.

Henk

An update.

I mounted the system with the sensors in the numberplate. Easy, since no drilling in the rear bumper is necessary. But in the end it turned out to be unreliable. I have to sent it back with a warranty claim.

Next month I´ve got the time to install the normal system.

Perhaps this info is of use to someone.
