Intermittent transmission fault - diagnostics

Over the last few months I've sometimes been getting Transmission errors on startup. Sometimes it'll reset upon restart other times it won't. Twice recently gears 4,5&6 have been unavailable. In the last week it's been fine, I even towed the caravan 25 miles on Saturday no problem. Today I took the car in for diagnosis with a local independent and he said the fault codes indicated an electrical fault with the transmission and Ill need to get it looked at by a specialist.

I love the car but am in two minds whether to cut my losses and part exchange it for an xc60 as this is the 2nd Freelander I've had trouble with. I've provided the diagnostic print outs if anyone can shed any light for me. Current: MY11 SD4 HSE / Sterling Quartz 2010 caravan

Previous: MY11 TD4 GS / Bailey Bordeaux 2002 caravan

I am no expert but know lost signal might be a plug that is not properly clipped in.
