anyone offer advice?

I have a kitchen which i am DIY installing which is L shaped, the corner is a walk in larder so the doors are at a angle.

I have end panels to fit either side of this, which will be at right angles to the adjoining units, the doors are 22.5mm thick, so have these sticking out proud by 22.5mm to keep these flush with the adjoining doors

Is this correct? when you have a corner unit on a angle to set the end panels at the same thickness of the doors? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I don't really understand what you mean, if you use Blum hinges the door (hinge end) will pivot within the space of the door. They hinge up to 170 degrees. The door will swing around in front of whatever is next to it.

These door are 16mm thick, if you use a thicker door it will need to be a hinge which would allow for 22mm thickness of door. If it is a full length door you will need 4 or 5 hinges per door.

They have provided hinges I think they have 120 degree swing but not like your style

I'm assuming the corner unit, which face is at 45degree to the adjoining unit, needs moving forward to allow the doors to sit further out to give more room Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

A photo of the 2 cupboards, just sitting on the ground will do, showing the offending circumstance.

Check that they have given you the correct hinges. It is all very well that they are 120 degrees, but if the walls are at 45 degrees (135) to the door you need a different hinge.

Would you let an amateur service your car - No. Then why not employ some professionals instead of spoiling the whole job for a half penny of tar. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I ended up building this 4 door wardrobe 10 years ago because it was too difficult for the cabinet makers. They did not want to touch it with a bargepole. Finally one quoted $6500, stuff that, the materials & new saw blade cost $500 at retail prices! & I even used waterproof melamine board. The two side doors are angled at 30 degrees. It's 2.4 metres tall (ceilings 2.7) & it also has a solid melamine back which the cabinet makers don't do either. You iron on the melamine edge.

It is not difficult, you need a nice new top quality blade especially for this type of cutting & a wide solid straight edge, ie one of the uncut boards.

I think I have worked it out, need to double check thinkness of each carcass and end panel, but my man maths seems to have worked

You need the right hinge which mounts at 45°, it's in the PDF, but you will need hinges for 22mm, 16mm hinges will not work.

When we moved, we needed 100mm bigger space for the fridge. Talk about domino effect! Virtually the entire kitchen had to come out. Re-cut the Corian bench top & re-bond. Corian didn't want to sell my the bonding glue as it had to be done by a professional. Where can I find the these professionals, they could not help! Eventually found someone who let me have the glue. He didn't want to do the kitchen either!

No one was interested at any price. So did it my self. Took about a month to find the glue, took about a week to modify the kitchen. I was very happy with the new Corian join & the rest of the work! More importantly other half was happy! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

cheers, they have provided hinges, which i am sure will be correct, they appeared to be when i offered them up earlier today, i might have got the degree wrong when mentioned earlier

I have just confirmed the opening to be 800mm wide on the outer edge, carcass made out of 18mm thick wood, 22.5mm doors, adjusting this mornings measurements to these i now have the offset for the larder to stand forward giving a flush outer face Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

When I first used the non typical hinges I was completely thrown. Best is to think the process through. Take a day off to clear the mind. Then have another short burst. The key is to actually get completely off the job a few times. It how Albert Einstein came up with a few well known equations!

Take a break!

The manufactures have made all these products for idiots (so called professionals). People like us who do work with thought, carefully think the entire process through. We have to take our time because it is the first time we have ever done it & actually do the job properly, & only once!

If you feel happier, install a pair of hinges on some scrap timber so you can see precisely what is going on.

Once you have done a few cupboards you will be able to do them blindfolded..... or maybe turn into a professional idiot! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Sounds like you have made progress and not suggesting that Lightwater's advice is anything but sound, but, try posting on UKWorkshop, there are professional kitchen and cabinet makers on there who I am sure can put you straight.
