TRANSMMISION FAULT MESSAGE

Hi all just joined as I was looking for answers to Fault on transmission message on dash and found many FR2 owners recommending this site.
Having seen a lot of people being misguided and knowing a little being a very retired spanner operator thought I would perhaps help with my findings today.
I purchased a FR2 having owned a 2002 freelander with all the usual electrical issues, it seems the FR2 although greatly improved has inherited some of the earlier models quirks!!
Bad Electrical connections
Having arrived home I had to descend a steep slope when the message came up "transmission fault" after researching I thought I was in for megga expense from the comments on various sites and decided to check the connectors on the Haldex unit, one was very tight and hard to remove the other seems to have had the retaining catch broken off so came off easily, A new Haldex unit fitted by a main service dealer just before I purchase the vehicle may have knowledge of this ???
Any way a brief clean and reconnecting and Presto the message has disappeared, this is in addition to a airbag warning light they had charged lots of euros for but not cured, I simply removed passenger seat cleaned connections and again message off over a year ago, the bonnet open message when closed I simply slam ?? bonnet and off it goes.
love the FR2 WHY DONT THEY MAKE A VEHICLE WITHOUT THESE SILLY PROBLEMS:
