Transmission Fault Traction Reduced

The FL2 has (a couple of months ago) had the rear diff bearings replaced (and Haldex serviced) - (thanks Austen).
Today we have "Transmission Fault Traction Reduced" appearing on the dash (and associated beep). The FL2 seems to be driving ok.

I have read comments that this may be caused by a failing battery (its an AGM on this FL2) and have plugged in the CTEK charger to see if this will top the battery to max and then see if this might clear the issue. I have also read that this is also caused by a failing Haldex pump, so a trip over to Cleobury Mortimer may be required!

If it is the battery (the current battery is the original - its a 59 plate) can anyone recommend a replacement please?

Thank you

Yes there's a long thread on here about it,I got mine a good thick cable from EBay it goes from battery earth to alternator bolt and cures lots of problems it seems especially on cars around the age of yours and mine.

special programmes off....

Just noticed that for a split second prior to the "transmission fault traction reduced" message, a message stating "special programmes off"is displayed. Any further thoughts?

All part of the same fault. I had that recently on mine and it was the pump motor at fault, I managed to get the motor casing off far enough to get to the brushes, gave them a bit of a clean up and reassembled it, been ok ever since Thumbs Up

The same fault has flashed up on mine this morning.
The F2 is only 3 1/2 years old and only covered 26000 miles, so I'm not happy. lets see what the stealers have to say when they get it back. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018
