Black and silver Pillar badges

Now that Im back in the fold, when I was here last time, a forum member made or had made some Gel black and silver over badges, in particular the 66mm side pillar badges. Anyone have a couple they are willing to part with or know where i can get some from?

I used them as overlays to good effect -some others have removed the original green and yellow badge and replaced with the new black and silver. They are very good quality materials and look really good
Some of our members in hotter climates (certainly not Gateshead) have had problems with the glue giving up after a time No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

The overlays didn't fare well here in AU, I spent most of the time trying to push them back on as they slide off in our heat.

Removing the badge itself and adhering the overlay directly to the badge carrier seems to have solved that problem having survived this season without incident. I also had them painted to be doubly sure of good adhesion.

I've used them, removed the originals and replaced with these, worked a treat, I've also replace the steering wheel badge, that was from a different source

Put mine on over the originals - there was a slight hint of green at the edges which I filled in with black paint. Maybe I should have heated them before applying. Someone on here recommended ordering 1mm oversize for this reason. I also fitted black overlays front and back and black wheel centres, all off e-bay. Looked great on a black car.
Interesting that the badges on my DS are a darker green - they actually look black in most lights, so not worth changing, although I think I will get the black wheelcentres again, not least because the LR ones tend to degrade quite quickly. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France

FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

My last FL2 was a black one and these worked well, just heated the surface of the old badge up and stuck them on. This time round I have a nice red FL2 and happen to think it would look better with them on as well Smile
