Great price new tyres if anyone needs them!

I have been doing a lot of searching recently as I needed four new tyres - ouch! After far too much searching for best tyres etc etc I settled on Goodyear Wrangler HPs. Believe it or not Quick Fit have a great on-line offer on at the moment; I got all four tyres fully fitted, balanced etc for just under £390! Black Circle couldn't even beat that. It is only an on-line offer so you need to order, book and pay on-line. Hope this tip helps someone.

It's just catching the deals at the time. I myself opted for the Avons ZX7 19s which at the time was the best price for a decent tyre. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I totally agree. Being new to Freelanders I was of course starting from a blank sheet but once I had identified what were recommended options it was a case of finding the best deal. The reason I posted this was because normally I would never think of Quick Fit as a place for great priced tyres so thought others might think the same. Thumbs Up

I'd avoid them. My local LR dealer told me they are the worse tyres they know of for getting stepped wear.

That just goes to prove how much one persons opinion is as valid as the next! I did so much searching/research it is unreal and the Wrangler HPs came up time and time again as recommended by Freelander owners. Apparently they were even OEM fitment at one time. I have purchased them already and I have to say they are just as quiet as road tyres on my normal car, give a very comfortable ride with no more roll than the tyres that were on there before, and as for stepped wear we will see in many years time as I don't do a lot of miles really! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I had Wrangler HPs on my first Freelander, nearly 40k on them before changing without any problems. When looking for a change on my current freelander on 19s l was looking at £150 a corner as compared to the Avons at £102. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Wranglers were indeed fitted from factory for a period of time, being good year they are decent tyres I would think but ive never had any fitted.
The only issue ive heard of from this forum is that when the Wranglers wear down to about 4mm they cause a droning sound similar to failing rear diff bearings.
This is apparently due to uneven tread block wear for some reason. Just something to be aware of IMO as it wont affect the performance of them but may fool you into thinking its the diff.

You have to watch these special offers. I was looking at the Pirelli tyre on the kwik fit web page, the price at the time was £116.99 then they had a promotion of 25% off Pirelli tyres and price had actually gone up to £132.99. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I agree with all the comments regarding Goodyear AW - had 2 sets that got VERY noisy on the rear of my 07 when down to 4mm with severe 'stepping' - and almost felt like driving with corners on the wheels!
Now on Pirelli Scorpian Verde All Season - so far so good. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

I'm trying to find a deal on 19 inch Conti CrossContact UHP just now... for fully fitted, best price is a little over £600 with the average around £640... Unless anyone knows of a better price currently available?

F1 Autocentres are about the best price currently but I really don't want to spend my money with a company that out Kwikfits Kwikfit themselves on teethsucking amazement at how you've survived for so long on those shocks, brakes, dirty aircon etc. F1 even try to sell you precision tracking at £3 per wheel over and above standard tracking.

I have just bought four from Black Circle. £603 fitted. With new winters and new summers now, hopefully I won't be buying tyres again for a good while Sad
