Installed main harness today for the Rear Media Module so now everything is connected to RJB and harness to rear seat screens including CAN. Next step is to do a connectivity tests of all wiring before applying power hence the tabs on the wiring and will remove once I'm convinced each wire is correct.

Now for some wiring pornography courtesy of Cambo who has generously built up my MOST, CVBS and TV1 to 4 aerial wiring looms to complete these projects, great job!
Just need for them to arrive and start putting everything together.

Over the weekend finished off all the wiring to the front seats as needed to make wiring safe to be able to power up the modules. Both LVDS and main harness wiring has been completed, encased in cable shield and TESA cloth tape as per JLR specs. Main RSE link harness with MX series infotainment plugs again to JLR specs.

Both harness and plugs will held in place in their designated spot under the seat base. Note wiring self inflicted wound on finger.....ouch! Rolling Eyes

Both LVDS lines and CVBS are ready to connect to the RSE module which I will do when I take off the inside cargo panel to fit MOST loop which is the next task before another wiring check and module power up.

South Australia is installing the world's largest battery, 100 MWh. While no one is looking Stuatc will shove that in his car!

& an alternator!
With the petrol engine, 238 amps to start for a second, & after about 20 seconds it is charging at 80 amps. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The system in the L359 is designed for all these extra modules, that's why the extra fuse position exist in the RJB and the fuses in the Main Junction Box that supply the RJB/MOST ring are the same rating as all other platforms that run the Gen 2.1 system, I've checked! Thumbs Up
I've only had a "start engine message" once in my car, far less than what others have reported, not sure why but I really don't have any low battery issue and considering most of my trips are short inner city runs is surprising.
The only message I've got recently is that my Smart key battery is running low, lol, which reminds me I must change. Laughing MY15

Do you know what the largest current you are allowed to draw off the rear fuse box while the engine is running? Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Yeah, I think it's just on the threshold of it's warning point as it's not triggering every ignition cycle atm. Yellow triangle and message is appearing and disappearing, suppose I should change it...... Whistle MY15

Off the top of my head I don't but it's rather easy to establish as there is only a couple of main breakers which supply the RJB from the Main Junction Box in the engine compartment. Owners manual lists all supplies, just add up the rated breakers. You'd really have to put an extreme load on or mega short to blow a main breaker as the fuses in the RJB would blow first. MY15

If your worried about your fridge it would depend on which circuit your drawing power from, Aux Power socket or there is a dedicated fridge circuit in the RJB. Whichever circuit your running from the fuse in the RJB covering that circuit is the one which will dictate the amount of current you can draw, not the main supply breakers. MY15

The fridge uses next to nothing, 3.5 - 3.8 amps while running. It is the 2 compressors, up to 60 amps for both. I am also debating whether to put the second one in the engine bay & connect the 2 with an air hose when needed & then I would only need 30 amps in the rear. I would simply manually turn each of them off. I could run an air hose & power when needed, that would be the simplest solution. Found a spot in the engine bay for 1 compressor. I could put both under the seats but I really want the space for water etc.

I think I have answered my own question. Compressor 1 in the engine bay, which controls compressor 2 under the seat. If compressor 1 fails, Compressor 2 can be operated independently. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

60amps extra load on the RGB would really be "pushing the relationship" At best you'd have to share that over all the feeds from the Main Junction Box. Best practice would be directly powered from battery with inline fuse. Sounds like your heading in the right direction with mounting the main compressor in the engine bay. MY15
