Watching the news the bombers co-conspirators must be really enjoying this, the reaction is what they hoped for, huge outpourings of grief, chaos and panic, election on hold, lots of important people expressing shock and horror. The continual news and speculation, exactly why it was done, the deaths to the terrorists are unimportant, what they wanted was publicity and they got it in spades, to them it was a success, time to wind it down and go low key, report the facts and get on with the day and leave the police and security forces to do their jobs.
The fact we are a free democracy allows them to revel in their act, they have no interest in the victims or those that grieve only publicity, there will be certain politicians who will blame the government or previous governments for their Middle East actions that they believe causes these atrocities, there will be also politicians who will object to more stringent control of those who are passively supporting them by silence as freedom fighters.
We don't need this 24 hour coverage and analysis, report the facts and shut it down, report the security forces successes when arrests are made, though when the sentences are handed out it will hopefully be a long time in jail, but is jail enough and will they be a pawn in a higher game?, remember Yasser Arafat and where he ended up holding countries to ransom for freedom for his murderous freedom fighting terrorists, if they are dead there is no ransom demands for their freedom.
