Where the battery back-up sounder located?

I made all the searches in the forum and i found it should be behind the battery but i can only see the ABS unit there.
Can it be that not all have the BBS?
I have SE model without the volume sensor in the cabin.

My car started to sound the alarm with no apparent reason, from all the searches i done i found that main cause is the BBS or the bonnet latch, both parts are not expensive so i plan to change both as soon as i find the BBS location.

The battery backed sounder (or battery backed sounder with tilt function) is located in the LH rear corner of the engine compartment and is attached to the fire shield. The sounder is only fitted in certain markets.

So not all markets get the sounder. You should be able to tell from the sound of the alarm - does it sound like the car horns, or is it a rather pathetic whistle (which is what the sounder emits).

Thanks, i have a very loud noise of the horns, i had this issue before and i change the battery which was 7 years old than i got half a year of silence until i open the bonnet 3 days ago to check the oil level, 3 hours later the alarm started, maybe just coincidences.
.

You have to remove the battery cover to see it.

In the post by Stevie5tapes here: http://www.freel2.com/forum/post225737.html it is the gold coloured metal unit to the left of the negative battery terminal. 2008 Freelander 2 i6 Alaska White - current
