Yeah, it’s hard to get a good focus in the dark. Here’s my SMPc lume with the dog looking at me like I’m an idiot!

I let my dog try my Tag on and I can’t get it back off of her!

Popped into Beaverbrooks in Derby yesterday and sat down at the Omega table with the Mrs to try on this rather nice Planet Ocean watch. A £1,000 deposit would be about £75 per month over 4 years with interest free.

SWMBO looked at me as if to adapt a Clint Eastwood quote “You’re gonna look awfully silly with that credit card sticking out of your ass” Laughing

Maybe for my 40th....

The last watch I had was for my birthday 61 years ago.

I took it off after about a month and can’t remember where I put it down.

To be honest, I’ve never thought of having a watch since, never saw the point of it. Shocked

Well, having had some of my dads old watches altered to fit me, it got me looking at watches again but this time I didn’t want to stretch into Tag territory, I was thinking around the £500 mark as a daily watch to avoid the risk of scratching my Tag through heavy usage.

Spotted this and I absolutely love it. Got 20% off elsewhere though Thumbs Up I’m about to place my order.

That’s a nice looking dive watch Doc. Good size, specification and price too. Looks like you're learning at last and not paying full retail for your watches! Laughing

I treated myself and my son to a flying visit to the Monaco Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago and while there we went into the Monaco Motor museum. Being GP weekend they had a collection of F1 cars on display and with Tag Heuer being one of the race sponsors, they had plenty of historic TH watches on display too. That gave me the perfect opportunity on this trip to give my son his first watch to mark the occasion - my old Tag Aquaracer Grande Date. He was well chuffed.

Just some of the watches and cars on display:

Last week we were in Spain and I took the opportunity to give my SMPc 300M with its new nato strap it’s first sea trial and it held up fine. Didn’t leak at the depth I took it to. Don’t know about the other 299.6 metres though. Whistle

Not at all and it’s a lot lighter than the original bracelet. Very thin and light but it bloody ought to be for what it cost! Genuine Omega one, not like the thick copy canvas ones. Proper class! Rolling Eyes

Indeed. I have suggested to SWMBO that she could save up and get me a Rolex Submariner for my 40th and as a gap filler, get me an Omega Planet Ocean. There followed a deathly silence... Laughing LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
