United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black
Annual Service

Car in for annual service and MOT today (MY 2012 ) - no problems.
Courtesy car was Discovery Sport, top of the range circa £50000 - dreadful! it had 450 miles on the clock (2017 model) but it rattled and squeaked and generally felt very "tinny" and skittish on the bumps. The engine was rather smoother than the FL2 but very thirsty. The heads up display was useful but the car felt like an internet game - not impressed.
Mooching around the showroom I found the new Discovery. For those of a nautical frame of mind the word 'Barge" came to mind!
All in all it confirmed my view that JRL and I have differing views. My next car will not be a Land Rover.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Aintree Green

I was of same impression of DS this time last year and even more so disappointed when I went around the back of it to see it an HSE badge. This year had the car service at a land rover specialist which is 10 minutes walk away.
Main dealer 4 year service £560 land rover specialist same service £280
bit of a no brainer. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green
MY57 SE Stornoway Grey. Gone
Nissan X Trail
Discovery V8 LPG
Series II Land Rover
