Wales 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Alaska White
noise when pulling away

hello ive a strange noise (grinding/rumbling) when I start off then its ok it seems to be coming from the passenger rear
any ideas
its a 2014 gs model

If worse when turning it could be linked to the Haldex which should disengage with lock applied.

Either a software issue or a Haldex service. Check with Austen at Bell Engineering (he posted above) he is the transmission expert on here.

That's why i asked about turning, but don't want to suddenly scare people with haldex problems, it could be something very simple. Have suggested giving me a call so poster can try and few tests to try and diagnose things. www.bellengineering.co.uk

it only seems to happen first thing after the car has moved a bit no more noise
