When closing the tailgate, does everyone else's FL2 have the least reassuring thud that puts doubt as to whether it is fully latched/closed?

I find the gas struts offer a good deal of resistance such that you cannot rely on gravity alone. I grab the pull down handle and give it a bit of a swing to get a positive closure, not quite a slam.
