You need the adaptor kit which is designed to attach the feet to the vehicle. To fit it you open all four doors and the bracket rests against the door surround. Once everything is tightened up it holds the roofbars in place and doesn't appear to damage to paintwork in anyway. The adaptor kit I mentioned is specific to the Freelander 2.

No problem with the questions.
The feet rest on the roof and the adaptor kit fits over the door seals, the fitting instructions stress the need to ensure the adaptor kit is fitted over the seal correctly. Got a sunroof on my F2 SE and the fitting doesn't appear to get in the way of the roof although to be honest I haven't tried it out fuly.

Will try and get a picture for you but the roofbars are not currently fitted so it might take a couple of days to sort out.

My new FL2 is being delivered nexty week and dealer has confirmed that roof rails can be fitted by them.

Is this likely or is there still a problem getting them.

My car is TD4 HSE so hopefully they will order and fit correct ones.

Looking forward to the car. I have a loan D3 HSE at the moment and not too impressed with the floaty ride and vague steering. The FL2 i test drove felt much better and more drivable.

Don't worry about the FL2, it is a realy great car.

I'm sure your dealer will fit the correct ones, I hope your wait isn't too long

Hooray 'another one', thats exactly what I said to the sales guy when I drove a Disco3....felt very vague!!! FL2 felt so crisp in comparison, so ended up buying the HSE FL2. Got the Landy roof rails as wanted them as a permanent fixture. My dealer fitted the 'non sunroof' bars, whislted like f k between 30 and 70mph which was really not annoying now got the sunroof version.........aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! piece and quite. Defkalion posted some good pictures just make sure the cross bar has a solid 'rib under the cross bar if you have sunroof, as the non sunroof models have three ribs across the length..........any comments about ribs and condoms will be ignored you lot!!!!

I hope it was myself driving around your neck of the woods (near Killin), that helped you decide to get the FL2, I was up that way a month ago.

Some of those mountains looked so inviting, its was a shame i could find any to drive up, unless it was on tarmac that is

Thanks for the photos, very good of you to get them on so quick. I personally have the LR ones as wanted them as a permanent feature, both for use and asthetics. For curiosity how much are the thule ones???? I am hoping to post some more pictures of my car in the next day or so with the L/R rails and tailgate spolier plus other photos whilst doing it

I paid £105.00 for the feet, adaptor kit, locks, and standard bars plus a pack of tie down straps. The aerodynamic bars were about another £20 I think.
