Brand new leather front seat covers ... Be quick !!!!

Hi, some information for anyone with the annoying tear or scabby looking front seat base ... There is a company on eBay selling genuine boxed replacement seat covers for those with leather for an absolute bargain price of £40 . I bought one to replace my torn drivers base and was so impressed with the new look bought another to do passenger seat .. Makes the car look like new inside . There are some still for sale ( just search freelander 2 seat cover). Bit fiddly to change but well worth the effort for the result .. Also has genuine sets of premium mats at less than half dealer price .. Be quick as I bet they be all gone soon .

I have just taken a look at the listing. They look to be genuine but are not the same as on my MY10. On the eBay ones, the main cushion leather has a seam across the front just behind your knee. Mine has no seam there and is full leather down the front edge. May well fit but 2 covers would be needed to match.

Check the sellers other items. He has the ones you describe but they are £50.

HI Tigertim.
Did you by any chance take any photo's of how to fit the cover, I purchase one of the covers back in march 18th and have yet to fit it, does the seat have to come out of the car ? any advise is most appreciated.

I have just ordered one. #007926 matches my 2010 HSE exactly. 30% discount over Easter ! £42.47 inc post. Bargain!

Artic, yes you can take the seat base only out. Do a search on here, I have done a write up previously.

I spent a five minutes or so searching:

and found:
Drivers Seat Wear
Are Seats Warranteed?
Damaged Driver Seat
Seat Split
and the best so far:
Drivers Seat Damage/Warranty

I am sure there are more but I can't be arsed

New cover fitted would I want to do one again ( NO ) what a fiddle of a job, the two bolts are an absolute nightmare to remove and re-fit so much in the way under the drivers seat, I thought of removing the seat of the tracks only to find there are four nuts each side, the inner most ones very hard to get to properly so gave that up.

Then you have the pig rings that hold the seat in the recesses of the cushion, I removed those completely and replaced them with cable ties, I took quite a few photo's I will add them to the other thread once again thank you for the help cheers Arctic
