Do LR contact me or do i contact them for the 3 year + warranty?

I thought the dealership sold me it on my old car, but they never mentioned it Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think it's more to do with how "glued" in the customer service at your dealer-ship. Selling extended warranty would get some points from LR as well I think. When I bought my MY13 2 years ago, it came with 2 years warranty: 1 remaining manufacturer and one extended warranty. In March a lady from Lloyd Carlisle sent me an email to invite me to buy extended warranty as it runs out in April (prompt me to open Is extended warranty worth it?)

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic28742.html

Reading stories about Turbo, diff. and EGR problems here made me buy it.

I believe the extended warranty isn't from LR but from Car Care Plan Ltd (from the extended warranty document). I remembered phoning them in January giving my car reg. and they said yes I can buy it from them directly. Team valley LR can also assist me to buy it but since the lady @ Lloyd Carlisle contacted me I bought it from her which gave me the same certificate.

I suggest that you contact your dealer regarding the extended warranty or just phone the Car Care Plan Ltd directly (0844 573 8055) this number I get it from my own doc.

I know to check my V5 now, but expected that the supplying dealer would have the date on there systems correct

So now I've been driving around from the 5th To the 19th without a MOT Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

all sorted now, somehow, LR started the warranty 2 weeks after the cars was registed, but LReW taken out and dealer provided a nice good will gesture Very Happy Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I was not offered an extended warranty on my last vehicle when it turned 3 years old. May be because I didn't get it serviced by supplying dealer (took it to TVLR instead for cheaper and better service). Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

i was told that the aftermarket warranty is started by the supplying dealer, they pass the details to the warranty company who contact you, now mine was a LR supplied car, directly on to the dealers stock list so in my case LR couldn't be bothered Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mine too, was an LR car, what you say makes sense as my dealer was never part of the extended warranty process.
I sorted it myself, although the MOT was flagged by the dealer.

Sorry to fetch this back up but I've just been quoted by my dealer that to get an extended warranty for a year is £750. Shocked

can't be right surely ? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Extended warranty is currently £795 or £79.50 per month over 10 months, so your quote is cheap!
