My pal took his sickly FL2 to a so called expert who said he needs a new intermediate reduction drive unit for about £1,500 all in. As far as I'm aware the fl2 doesn't have an IRD unit so have told him to speak with Austin Bell. I suspect it's the PTU unit that's noisy which can be done for half what's been quoted.
