This is going to hurt

My Freelander is turning 10 this year so at the next service its cam belt change time, its also just tipped over the 100,000 mile mark so I will give the Haldex a service, treat it to a set of new dampers and as not to be out done my fuel gauge/senders are now playing up so its tank out, new senders with hard wiring as well. Its all being done at my local Indy but I imagine its not going to be just small change. Wish me luck.

If you are planning to keep the vehicle then it's money well spent, I will be doing the same in a couple of months, vehicle will be 10 years old and 95,000 so I will be interested in what your indy charges. I was quoted around £1500 not including the haldex, although having read lots on here I will get my haldex serviced at Bell Engineering as they seem to know what they're talking about.

Best of luck

Let the Indie do a standard B service plus Cam Belt/Water Pump. Then go and see Austen at Bell for a full Haldex service and drive train oils to include diff.

You can split the agony as well over two pay days. Thumbs Up FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

That sounds like a plan

I got a quote from les Potts in Sunderland for the full 10 year service including haldex and drivetrain service for £900 including VAT. Im pretty happy with that price so will be taking them up on it (once I've sorted out my finances 😂)

I have got the car back and without having the Haldex done but having the EGR blanked off the final bill was 2 bucks short of a grand. With the EGR blanked I do not have a flat spot anymore when pulling away so that was worth doing and I can now run low on fuel having a bit of faith that what the gauge is telling is true. (run down to 16 miles left and no false alarms, just the once at 50 miles)
