Intermittent drive

Happened a few times recently after starting again following a short run. In D and pressing accelerator very little happens it is just like I had let go the brake ie just creeps forward. If I stop go to P and back to D all is normal again. Does not happen every time appears a bit random. Any ideas?

Has your gearbox ever had an oil change? How many miles? I have had some strange noises on gearchange with mine. A recent oil change seems to have fixed it. See my "noise in 2nd gear" post.

was going to ask if you lived at the top of a hill but then I saw were you live. Rolling with laughter

some autos don't like going down hill after first starting, cold weather seems to make it worse, mine does it sometimes, found out that if you use manual it's ok. not had it happen following a short run though. Common sense isn't very common.

Transmission fluid change was on the agenda for this year. Only done 65K so not a figure I would think should be causing a problem, yet.

Mine is @ 76k. Oil was black as ace of ♠️. New oil is like cherryade. I suggest you get a code read and/or do an oil change. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
