THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS YOUR FRIEND

It suddenly occurred to me that my parking sensors aren't working. Don't ask me how or why, I guess I use my mirrors more than waiting for beeps. But since I have them on the car, I thought it would be nice if they worked.

Had a read of a few threads and I'm going see if I can't find the dodgy sensor/s and replace them.

Also my cigarette lighter socket doesn't work. Followed a thread on here to remove the rear audio sockets and see if the socket has been disconnected somehow. It hasn't. So I guess I'm looking at a fuse problem. I'll buy a pack of fuses this week and hopefully get that sorted.

Apart from those minor hiccups, the car is still working perfectly as it should. Had a quote of £900 from les Potts in Sunderland for the 10 year service and they also service the transfer box and haldex which is nice. Will probably be taking it to them within the next month or so.

I hope everyone else is still enjoying "trouble free" motoring 👍🏻

At that mileage you might also consider blanking the EGR valve, as it's quite likely to be sticking. If you ever get a chance to drive a fairly recent model with the same engine, compare the performance. If yours is the same, no problem; if it's down then the EGR is a likely candidate and very easy to fix. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Ok I'll bear that in mind. In all honesty I don't think the performance is different to what it should be, but then as you say without having something to compare it to its difficult to say.

So after 7/8 months of happy motoring I now feel I'm about to be fully welcomed into the freelancer 2 club. I have a noise coming from what I think is the front. Kind of a humming sound. It's not there all the time but it is noticeable. I'm going to swap the tyres front to back today and see if that helps, if not I feel it may be a trip to bell engineering 🙄

There's a slight hissing noise when I turn the steering wheel whilst stationary aswell, not sure if that would have anything to do with it, or just another problem 😂
