Mine is 2007 too and mine is a genuine LR cover and that does not fit too well either.

omg, would it be so simple answer?

When you order parts from uk there is no mention or even way to click LHD model.

Can somebody please post engine hood picture from RHD car, are they swapped?

The battery is in the same location for LHD/RHD but because of the associated differences for RHD/LHD there's probably slight change in the plenum chamber cover and hence the battery cover. Looks similar but obviously that's not good enough.

There will have been a small change to the specification, most likely when stop start technology came in.

Example I went to a LR dealer for a micro switch for my boot release on a MY13 and the small rear electric loom had changed just enough to stop you fitting it, they had given me a pre MY13 model loom.

You will need to provide your VIN number in future to be sure you get the correct part and if they then send it incorrectly they will have no excuse but to sort it out to your satisfaction. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I think Yorky Bob's explanation would be closer to the correct answer, more likely a MY thing as both LHD/RHD wiper locations are in the plenum chamber cover, on mine at least. MY15

I am surprised Stuartc didn't provide the chemical composition of the plastic as well! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
