My Wife left the car parked in quite side road today only to come back and find this when she returned

Happened to me with my Leon. Parked nose in to the kerb outside our house - we were out in the FL2 - and some utter scummy dirtbag had smashed the rear NS door beyond repair. Given the height of the main crease we think it was likely a council van who were working nearby and used our spaces to turn round.

Feel for you matey. The little sh*t that did it should be skinned alive, rolled in salt and then burnt.

Thanks for the kind words. The Wife is really upset, this is the first car in a long time that she really loves. She's even given it a name "Gilbert" Been in touch with Local LR dealer and sent photos for a estimate. Sorry to see this. I had a hole ripped through the driver's door on previous car. A ute with a table top backed up the street but obviously could not drive straight! They had driven off. That evening I walked around all the local streets will tape measure & camera on the very remote chance I could find the vehicle. I was very lucky & found it with my paint on the back corner of their car. Fortunately they were too stupid to remove the evidence!

It was all fixed up eventually. But they said they had no idea that they had hit anything...... BS! I was still without a car for 2 weeks as the smash repairers tried a lot of doors as they were not lining up properly. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

That would be my guess as well, a truck would have probably coursed more damage.
Doesn't help you who did though unless you can catch them.
Have a look for a local dent removal firm, neighbour used one who did great job, came to his house and put a tent like thing around it as it was raining. Common sense isn't very common.

Little up date, Still looking for the that did it, but never gonna find them Have had a quote from the Main Stealer who wants the car for 4 days and £630+Vat

I have found someone local though with excellent reviews who does mobile smart repairs. Say's he can do it in one day and wants £245 +Vat So hopefully will be getting it repaired by him next week.

The main dealer would be farming the repair out to a local chip and dent man, pay his fee and then taking a healthy profit off the job for themselves. You get the same job done at a sensible price by cutting out the middleman.

We have such a chip and dent man neighbour (handy) and most of his work is from dealers and used car lots.
