Hi all, I've just bought a 2009 TD4 HSE. It's in Lago grey, and has tinted windows. I'm just wondering about a couple of subtle upgrades - I found a few threads on the first, but not so much on the second:

1) Mudflaps front and rear. Do these make much difference in terms of general crud thrown up from the road, or are they mainly aesthetic?

2) Side grilles. I was thinking of painting these black, as I saw another forum member's car in same colour (pic below) which looked smart and tied in with the dark colour. Any thoughts on this - good look? Easy to do?

I would say the mudflaps are useful, but like all these cars they pick up the muck anyway, I fitted them to our car, and though it was worth while.

Colour coding the side vents would work on your car I think

Thanks - you reckon colour coding logo grey rather than black? Are they always silver from the factory or did they change for any of the later models?

Side vents came in Brunel, Silver and Gloss Black depending on model specification. MY15
