Just to let anyone who's after a new battery know that I took a punt on a new battery off eBay a month ago for my 2010 stop start Freelander, AGM 80AH £270 + vat from the dealer, £90 below.

The battery I received was identical to the one I took off OEM and has a Land Rover sticker on it & dated 2016. Spoke to the guys selling them & they said they brought a job lot.

Been on the car a month now through this early cold weather all good & my car gets left for a week sometimes without starting.

I think that they possibly have been marked in the factory so not suitable for a brand new car, mine had a small area of scratching to the side.

Please make your own decision on purchasing mines been great, but you never know & I don't want the blame for a duff one.

Well i ordered this battery yesterday morning after mine finally died on Sunday Evening

It arrived today ( Tuesday )
15 min job to fit

09/2016 date on it
exactly the same as the Factory battery that was in the car

So far very pleased
